Michael O'Connor BBus CPA
Our Managing Director Michael O'Connor is a QUT graduate in Business and is a qualified CPA. Since graduating Michael has attended numerous courses and conferences to ensure he is up to date with the relevant accounting standards, tax rules and most advanced business practices in the world. Michael has held positions of Senior Corporate Accountant, Financial Controller, CFO, General Manager and CEO. Michael also has engineering trade qualifications and is an ex defence person. These skills allow Michael to not only communicate at the financial side of business but also at the operational side especially where machinery and processes are involved.
Following GFC1, many businesses closed their doors as they did not have the appropriate intervention. That's where Michael's passion is – to help and improve other businesses which will ultimately improve the economy and our way of life. Michael also believes there's still enormous opportunity for SME's in Australia. Buyers and Consumers aren't only looking for cost efficiencies but also relationships. The bigger companies they may dealt with previously are just too big to be able to provide that. So the smaller businesses can not only go in and undercut them on price but really beat them in terms of the level of personal service they can provide. The overall pie may be smaller but the pieces of it available are larger. O'Connor Business Consulting can help you get your pieces. Contact us for a free consultancy
